A season of thanks is upon us! As we move toward the end of 2025 and look forward to 2026, I want to thank you for trusting me with your hair replacement needs. I’ve said for years that my clients are like family and I cherish each and every one of you!
I’d also like to give a special shout out to my new subscribers! We meet here every quarter to share milestones of interest to our hair loss community, and we’re so glad you’ve joined us. Whether we’re working together through your hair loss journey in one of my Her Secret Hair salons, you’ve followed me on Instagram, are a listener to my podcast, or are a part of The She-Compass community, I’m here to walk with you on our shared journey.
Here’s what I’ve been up to in this last quarter of 2025:

Of the many things I’m thankful for this year, being a hair replacement professional who can assist people with some of the most challenging hair loss disorders is one of the things of which I’m most proud. In September and October we rang in the Autumn season while increasing awareness about our hair loss community through Alopecia Areata Awareness Month and Trichotillomania Awareness Week (a body-focused repetitive behavior, or BFRB, that creates the compulsion to pull out one’s hair). These months are special to me because I lost my hair to alopecia as a child and understand what it means to go through life missing an important part of who we are. It’s been an honor to help others find hair loss solutions that were not available to me.
My dedication to the women and men of my hair loss community extends far beyond our time together in the salon. That includes championing non-profits that can make our lives better. This quarter I had the chance to work with my “big brother” William Bubba Paris, 3-time Superbowl winner and Joe Montana’s former left tackle, in supporting the Donor Network West Foundation, an organization with a mission “to support donor families and transplant recipients, to fund clinical innovation and research, and educate our communities about the power of organ, eye and tissue donation.” As a hair replacement professional who serves clients that have undergone organ donation procedures, working with Donor Network West is an honor and a privilege. This work has led me to connect with the San Francisco 49ers Foundation which empowers Bay Area youth through education. And having an opportunity to watch a live 49ers game from the owner’s suite isn’t bad either!

I love the work I do for our community. What’s equally exciting is being recognized for my services. I’m thrilled to share that I was recently named a Neighborhood Fave for Alamo and Livermore for a second year in a row! I also had the pleasure of being nominated for Threads of Hope, a partnership between East Bay Leadership Council and Diablo Magazine that recognizes the charitable work of people in the East Bay area. It was my honor to be nominated among these amazing non-profit and philanthropic leaders. I urge you to support the incredible work all the nominees and winners are doing to bring hope to our East Bay community.
I wish you a happy holiday season and I look forward to our continued partnerships in 2026!
